Recipe: Beetroot Detox Juice

When it comes to good food, I have always avoided beetroot. There was just this weird flavor from the fruit that I cannot truly explain in a single paragraph. However, Sydney had this major thunderstorm yesterday and I was not feeling very well. Winter makes my body weak and sleepy so I know it's time for me to start my healthy eating.

Rich in antioxidant, beetroot has everything that my body needs right now. It also has fibre, potassium and manganese. You can find vitamin A, C and iron in it too. Lucky me, my housemate started her diet program today. Since beetroot is also good for weight-loss, the two of us made this healthy juice together.


1 Green Apple
1 Lemon
3 Carrots
2 Beetroot
*optional add ginger

Mixing them together with a juicer is great and don't add sugar! Sugar will make this juice very delicious and unhealthy. You can add a little bit of honey if you want, but I recommend to avoid sugar at all cost. You can add a little bit of water, but not too much, otherwise your juice will lose some of its nutritional value. 

When your juice is ready to be served, avoid smelling it or thinking about how it would taste like. Drink it as fast as you can and get it over with. Based on my experience, healthy juices are best drank that way.
